Happy Monday! This will be a brief post because we spent the weekend with family in Charlotte. Nieces and nephews we hadn’t seen for quite a while, their kids (one we’d never met), Hubby’s parents, and others. I think the total count came in around 20 people? Lots of food, laughter, catching up, and good times.
Manic work continues on the Subject A36 sequel. I sent all the chapters I’d finished to my beta reader on Thursday, which now leaves me with two chapters to complete and possibly an epilogue. Bits and pieces are coming together in my head, and I’ve been making notes all weekend, so it’s just a matter of transferring it from my jumbled brain to the computer. Sure wish there was some kind of connection – something like in The Matrix, but maybe not with that ugly jack at the base of my neck – where I could think it and it would magically transfer. Have any of you writers ever thought about something like that? Just think of the time you could save and typos you could avoid.
It’s hard to believe, but Bad Moon Rising will be upon us very soon. I’ve been working on questions for this year, and I’ll be posting about signups later this week – probably Friday. Make sure to stop by!
Glad you had a nice reunion. Cheering you on with your sequel!

Nothing like seeing family after a long time. No, I don´t want it to be like the Matrix!

It was a fun time, Darlene. While I’d sure like some of the benefits of the Matrix, I could do without the Jack, lol.

It sounds like you had a fantastic time with family, and that you’re making great progress on the sequel. Cheering you on!

Sounds like great family time. I’ve been thinking about Bad Moon and trying to come up with some October promo.

Glad you had a groovy time with family! 🙂 Sounds like things are busy and good, which is my favorite combination. And of course, I’d love to be a part of BMR again.

Yes! Where did this year go?

Glad you got to catch up with some family. Must have been wonderful.
YAY for Subject A36 sequel progress! Yes, I’ve thought about that several times. It would make things so much easier if you could just have the story transfer from your brain to the page, so you just have to worry about the revising and editing once the transfer is complete.
Awesome about the return of Bad Moon Rising! There’s a story I’d hoped to have written and published in time to have a new book to promote as part of it this year, but since it hasn’t gotten past the idea stage yet I know it won’t be ready in time for BadMoon Rising after all.

Or even just transfer my ideas onto the page and let me put them into some kind of order later. Sometimes I get some fantastic ideas I’m just positive I’ll remember – but of course, I don’t. I need that instant transfer, lol! Sorry you won’t make it for BMR this year, Tori. Maybe this year you can sit back and enjoy the other authors – and also add to your TBR?

Yeah, even that much of a tranfer would be a great help. 😉
Oh, I didn’t mean I don’t want to participate. I just meant it would have to be with an older title again, rather than the new one I’d hoped to have ready to promote this year, because I won’t manage to make it with finishing and publishing that one in time. I’d love to participate with Vinnie The Vegetarian Zombie again though, if you don’t mind me returning with the same title yet again. Answering your questions is fun, and so is reading the answers from others and finding new books to add to my TBR.

Sounds like you had great time with family and relatives and that sounds good progress with sequel. Happy reading and I hope next week this time you had whole book finished.

Wouldn’t that be fantastic? What a load off my shoulders – freedom! Realistically, I’m hoping to finish both chapters in the next two weeks. Keep your fingers crossed, Yesha!

Sounds like a fun family trip. Bad Moon rising??? Already. Wow, time does fly. I wish we did have a mind to type option. That would be most handy. Have a great week, Teri.

Can you believe it? I usually post for signups in early August and put questions together, then send out around the third week, and ask them to be turned in by mid September. Lots of work, but always so much fun!

We sure did, Tessa. Getting through security at the airport this morning wasn’t as fun – longest lines I’ve seen there.

They always have crazy lines. Always. Covid did not dent them in the least.

Right? Seems like I just sat down to do last year’s question and then flashed forward a year.
