I’m always a little sad when BMR is over because it’s so much fun (and books!), but then August rolls around again and prep work begins. As of Saturday afternoon, BMR had nearly 5K views – that’s a 25% increase from last year, and it’s because of everyone who shared the posts on their social media – your efforts are deeply appreciated. I want to thank everyone who stopped by to comment and support the thirty-one authors who participated – hugs to all! Next year will be the seventh year – hard to believe.
Wishing high word counts and active muses to all of you doing NaNo! I’m not participating this year, but I’m going into the third week of an online writer’s retreat, and my goal is to come out of it with a completed first draft. Wish me luck!
So glad to know what a huge success Bad Moon Rising was this year, Teri. I can tell you I enjoyed it tremendously, and I’m sorry I missed the previous years. You can bet I’ll be tuning in from now on. Lots of great new writers introduced, lots of laughs at interview answers, and lots of shivers from book plots and ideas. FUN!
And thank you so much for letting me be part of it all. I’m already looking forward to next October when that ol’ mischievous moon will be on the rise again! 🙂
Good luck with your goals at your writing retreat. I know you can do it! 🙂

Thanks, Staci! Wish I could rest, but wasn’t able to use internet all day and now I’m even more behind, lol.

Thanks for running Bad Moon Rising. I had a great time, and am already looking forward to next year. 🙂
I’m not doing NaNoWriMo either. I don’t usually do it, though I usually set myself some kind of writing challenge to complete while it’s going on, but this year I’d have to not do it even if I usually did, so I’m not even setting myself a writing challenge this year.
Hope you’ll be coming home from that retreat with an excellent word count, and much closer to getting the sequel to Subject A36 finished. 😉 Good luck!

Thanks, Tori! I added to the word count today and had an epiphany for a plot point over the weekend, so I can’t complain.

Much appreciated, Jill. This is my first virtual retreat, but I’ve really learned a lot from the workshops and it’s been fun “meeting” other participants on the FB page.

Teri, thank you so much for another terrific Bad Moon Rising. I know very well the level of effort it takes for you to coordinate and host it. I’m honored to be a part of it.

Always thrilled to have you take part in it, my friend. And the retreat has been fantastic so far. Interesting tidbit – you showed up in my dream the other night, but your hair was kind of a teal color. Have no idea why – you were just passing through you said.

Thank you SO MUCH for doing this and letting me be a part of it. I still have to go back and check out the last few, but I loved reading everyone’s interviews. I appreciate all the work you put in! 🙂

This is such a premier event. We need a red carpet or something. I read every post and shared them, even if a couple were late. Mad respect to you for doing this every year. Hope your writing retreat is educational, fun, and productive.

A red carpet sounds fabulous! Seems like there should be a way to work that out.

It was fun, Teri. And glad it was a hit, as always, but a bit more so. 🙂 Hoping, as I do each year, I’ll be able to participate next year. Fingers crossed. And good luck with your writing goal!

I can’t thank you enough, Teri. I’m having a little surge of Kindle sales, and I think you and BMR are responsible. It’s such a great event with such a wonderful group of supportive and stellar writers and you made it all happen like a champion. I do hope to see you all next year.
And meanwhile, wishing you all health and safety thru these scary times. Election day. EEEK!!!

Thanks for all your hard work in bringing us BMR. It was a blast and something I’d love to do again next year. Good luck with your draft – I could use a little of that muse motivation!

Thanks, Jessica! I could use some motivation myself. I was on a good run a couple days ago – hoping it carries over to today. Get yours finished so you can premiere it at BMR – I need to see what happens with Grace!
