Happy Rainy Monday! At least here, anyway. Rain and more rain.
I’m participating in The KU Addicts Express Spring Into Summer Facebook Hop through this Friday. If you like free books and other prizes, this is the place to be. Go HERE to the main page, and you can hop from there. Or you can go to my FB page HERE where I’m giving away signed copies of Sarah and The Gemini Connection. Over 100 participants = lots of prizes!
A few weeks ago, I was part of OWS CyCon 2019. Can’t believe I forgot to mention this earlier, but Timothy Bateson read an excerpt of The Gemini Connection, and he did a fantastic job. If you’d like to listen, click HERE.
Have you guys taken the Myers-Briggs personality test? Last week, I received an email with reading recommendations based on personality type. It’s been years since I’ve taken it, so I gave it another try HERE. Turns out I’m INTJ-A. After reading the description, it sure does explain a lot – and it totally nailed my parenting style. The test is around 10 minutes – give it a shot and let me know your type.
My oldest son was here for the weekend, and we saw Toy Story 4. When he was younger, he had a Buzz Lightyear, Toy Story bed sheets, and we went through numerous pet goldfish named Buzz and Woody (until they were found floating, and we waved goodbye as they swirled around the toilet bowl), so it was fun to be able to see this with him. And it’s a great movie. Lots of laughs, and I loved seeing these characters again. If you have some time, go see it.
Have a great week!
So nice about you and your son watching Toy Story 4. It’s a great way to remember their younger days. Good times.
I’m an INFJ-T.

That’s exactly what my oldest son is – took the test when he was here. I’ll get the youngest to take it this week when he gets back, but I have a strong feeling he’s the same as me or pretty close.
And it was fun to remember the younger days. Neither of us can seem to remember what happened to his Buzz Lightyear. Maybe he really did go to infinity and beyond.

My son had one, too, and I have no idea where it is, either. Maybe there are a bunch of them in orbit.

Wishing you lots of fun on the blog hop, Teri!
I’m an INFJ-T. Years ago I took the official Myers-Briggs at a college–pages upon pages of questions. I ended up with a detailed report, and surprisingly, it nailed my personality. INFJ-T also does.
I remember watching the first two Toy Story movies. So much fun! Glad you had that time with your son,

I’m starting to see a trend here with the types – not surprising among writers, I guess. It’s kind of eerie to see how closely it gets your personality, isn’t it? I’m curious to see what hubby is, also.
The first Toy Story will always be my fav, but this one was worth seeing. Always glad to have time with either son – and my grandcat, lol.

When my daughter was four, I heard from her room, “To infinity and beyond!” followed by a thump. I ran to see what happened. She was playing make believe, pretending she was Buzz flying off her bed.

Glad it was only from the bed, Priscilla!

I haven’t taken a personality test in…. years, I suppose.
And toy story 4! I watched #1, way back when I was still a teenager. I don’t think my kids ever watched it… I mean #1. I should correct that!

You should, Jina! That movie still cracks me up. A lot of jokes in there for the adults, also.

I’ll catch my kids up on it.

It’s been decades since I took Meyers Briggs. I came out as the poster boy for INTJ. I have no idea what the dash and letter after might mean. There was no such thing when I took it.

You’re my people, Craig! A – assertive and T – turbulent. The website says the difference is all about how you handle stress.

Can I be both? Meyers Briggs helps bring some focus to character sketches too.

You probably can be both. I skewed heavily in the assertive direction, but then with a couple of the other categories, I was nearly in the middle. I took a writing workshop about using these personality tests for characters – it was fascinating.

So far, you’re the only writer I know that’s extroverted, John – but can’t say I’m surprised, lol. Have a great week!

I know right? What’s up with that anyway?

I still think FB is a great place to market, Teri. I saw Toy Story 1 and 2. After than my boys interests changed to Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean. I saw I, 2 and 3 of that series.

Toy Story 3 nearly had me in tears – my oldest is about the same age as Andy in that movie. Andy was going to college and leaving Woody and the gang with another child. My boys were also into the Pirates movies, Robbie, but I don’t think I ever saw the latest one.
