Another fantastic weekend! On Friday, hubby and I attended our youngest son’s last concert of the semester. Saturday, we were guests at a rainy, but fun-filled Derby party, and Sunday, we spent part of the day with the oldest son before he traveled to his new apartment and job out of state. Both sons were at the Derby party, so that made it even better. By Sunday afternoon, I could have easily keeled over for a nap, but the to-do list wasn’t getting checked off on its own.
I’ll be away from Wi-Fi for most of the week – traveling to the oldest son’s new apartment to get him settled, and no internet until Friday. I’ll try to get to comments and other blogs by the weekend – between traveling back home and moving the youngest son out of his dorm. While I’m at the oldest son’s apartment, he’ll be out of town at a job site, so it’s just me, with no TV or internet for a few days. Besides getting him unpacked, I plan to get some serious writing done. It’s almost like a retreat! Have my book club audio book downloaded and ready for the journey.
The Name My Book Character contest is going well. This is the first time I’ve tried it, and the response has been wonderful. Participants have put some real thought into their entries, and it’s going to be a difficult decision. If you haven’t entered yet, you’ve got until Sunday, May 12th – here’s the link.
Is anyone watching Our Planet on Netflix? It’s educational, alarming, humorous – and the footage is stunning. We’re about six episodes in and totally addicted. Give it a try!
It sounds like you had a great weekend. Happy for you.
I wil, give Our World a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
Have a great week.

It was such fun, Drew. We were able to catch up with people we hadn’t seen in months. Hope you’re enjoying FL!

Cool you’re almost having a mini writing retreat in among all that moving you’re helping to deal with. Also, great you had another fantastic weekend.

And I really need it, Tori. With all that’s been going on the past couple of weeks, my WIP hasn’t gotten the attention it needs – and I’m committed to giving to my beta reader by the end of the month. Have a great week!

I’m hoping to be uber productive over those few days, Craig. No distractions – other than getting the son’s things unpacked.

Now I’m jealous. I’d take regular productive at this time even without uber.

Your regular productive rate is the same as my uber, lol.

Great weekend Teri. I love the Derby. Glad you had a party to attend. Such rain.

So much rain and mud! I worry for the horses when it’s like that.

We do too. That cut over lane change by Maximum Security could have been a disaster.

I have Our Planet on my to watch list on Netflix. I have watched clips that Netflix has shared on YouTube but I think I’m putting it off because some of the clips I’ve seen are heartbreaking.

It’s not as heartbreaking as you think, Misty. There were a couple of times when I had to turn my head (animals eating other animals), but it’s really worth watching.

Yeah that’s the parts I’m not excited to watch. I know it’s natural but it still saddens me. I do plan to watch it. I have it saved and everything.
