WWW Wednesday is a meme from Sam at Taking On A World Of Words
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m currently reading Nyxia Unleashed by Scott Reintgen, the second in a YA sci-fi trilogy. Isn’t it a gorgeous cover?
Emmett Atwater thought Babel’s game sounded easy. Get points. Get paid. Go home. But it didn’t take long for him to learn that Babel’s competition was full of broken promises, none darker or more damaging than the last one.
Now Emmett and the rest of the Genesis survivors must rally and forge their own path through a new world. Their mission from Babel is simple: extract nyxia, the most valuable material in the universe, and play nice with the indigenous Adamite population.
But Emmett and the others quickly realize they are caught between two powerful forces—Babel and the Adamites—with clashing desires. Will the Genesis team make it out alive before it’s too late?
I recently finished Opal, a Raven Cycle novella by Maggie Stiefvater – soooo wonderful being back in this world again. And Maggie will be at a book festival I’m attending next month – it’ll be a constant struggle not to fangirl all over her.
An enchanting story from Maggie Stiefvater featuring Opal, Ronan, and Adam from her bestselling Raven Cycle, taking place after the events of The Raven King.
Next, I’ll read Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli for one of my book clubs. For this month’s selection, we had to read something another member recommended, with 3 to 4 books to choose from – a fun idea!
Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: if he doesn’t play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone’s business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he’s been emailing, will be compromised.
With some messy dynamics emerging in his once tight-knit group of friends, and his email correspondence with Blue growing more flirtatious every day, Simon’s junior year has suddenly gotten all kinds of complicated. Now, change-averse Simon has to find a way to step out of his comfort zone before he’s pushed out—without alienating his friends, compromising himself, or fumbling a shot at happiness with the most confusing, adorable guy he’s never met.
I love the cover of Nyxia Unleashed. 😍 Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda is on my tbr as well. Looking forward to reading your review.😊

Aaahhhh! Opal. I was just looking at that last night, wondering if I should grab it. Loved The Raven Boys. 😍 How was it??? And you’re going to see Maggie?! (Okay, I’m taking a break so I’m not really here but caught a glimpse of Opal and had to stop by.)

Wondered where you’d been hiding – that’s why I tracked you down today. You absolutely must read Opal – will make you want to re-read the whole series. I’ve seen Maggie once at a book fest in Nashville, and next month she’ll be 10 minutes from my house. Ahhhh!
