It’s finally here! Below are the cover and blurb of my next book, a young adult sci-fi/thriller. The cover designer did a fantastic job, and I love that he included my two protagonists in the design. These twin brothers couldn’t be more different, but they’re both close to my heart and I miss them already.
The Gemini Connection isn’t showing up on Goodreads yet, but when it does, I’ll post here so you can add it to your TBR. Some friends will be featuring it on their blogs this week, so make sure to swing by and visit. Many thanks to everyone who offered to participate! And now – meet Evan and Simon Resnik.

Teen twin brothers Evan and Simon Resnik are fiercely loyal to each other and share an unusual bond—they experience each other’s emotions as their own and can sense where the other is.
On their dying planet of Tage, scientists work tirelessly on its survival. Like the twins’ parents, Simon is a science prodigy, recruited at a young age to work with the brilliant creator of Scientific Innovations. To the bitter disappointment of their parents, Evan shows no aptitude or interest in science. As a Mindbender, he travels into the minds of scientists to locate buried memories, connect ideas and concepts, and battle recurring nightmares.
When Simon mysteriously disappears, Evan is plunged into a world of loss and unbearable guilt. For the first time, he can’t ‘feel’ Simon—it’s like he no longer exists. Evan blames himself. No one knows that he ignored his brother’s pleas for help on the night he went missing.
A year later, Simon is still gone. Evan lost his twin, but Tage might have lost its last hope of survival when it’s discovered that Simon’s unfinished project could be its salvation. Evan is determined to find him—somewhere—and bring Simon home. Their unusual connection might be more extraordinary than they know, and the key to locating Simon.

Did you see the news story about twins who were separated by an adoption agency? It was all basically a scientific study. I’ll tweet this out for you.

I saw it with Elizabeth Vargas. Is that 20/20?

Just watched it. I’ve read similar stories where the twins lives basically paralleled each other – fascinating, but cruel how they were separated and never knew about each other until so much later.

I’ve written many times how I like to add a bit of credibility by researching situations like that, prior to asking for a leap of faith in my speculative stories. Thought you might like it.

Some of those things you’ve come across have been weird, but inspire some interesting ideas – but truth is stranger than fiction, right?

This was one of those plots that kind of fell into place on the outskirts of my original outline. Love it when than happens.
