What’s Halloween without werewolves? And this werewolf is on a cruise ship bound for Alaska. Welcome Micky Neilson to Bad Moon Rising!
Years ago Brandon Frye was bitten, cursed to transform into a primal killing machine under the light of the full moon… until he met Celine, who introduced him to experimental pills meant to suppress the turning.
Now, after a terrible tragedy has taken Celine’s life, Brandon boards a cruise ship bound for Alaska, intending to venture into the cold white north and never return.
But when Brandon meets Ginny, he gains a second chance at love. Nevertheless, circumstances align against him: a storm is building, a hunter is on his trail, and the pills that are meant to prevent the turning…
Are about to trigger it.
What’s the best horror/thriller movie you’ve seen this year so far?
I don’t go to theaters much anymore (can’t stand the cell phones) but I picked up the Blu Ray for Train to Busan just based on the trailer (which was on another Blu Ray I picked up—Phantasm. A classic). Train to Busan is not only the best horror movie I’ve seen this year, it’s the best horror movie I’ve seen in quite a while. It was extremely well done and I highly recommend it!!
Any paranormal experiences you’d like to share?
I was messing around with friends as a teen, playing with neon glow tubes that connected together. We went into the bathroom, turned out the lights, and made a ghost with the glow tubes in the bathroom. Aside from the glowing ghost, it was pitch black. I was standing to the far right, making the right “hand” of the ghost, when something reached out and grabbed my ankle! The only other person nearby was my buddy who was moving the ghost’s head. But even more incredible— to my immediate right, where the hand had come from, was a wall!
What are you working on now?
Working on book 3 in The Turning series, Communion. I wrote The Turning, a prequel called Whisper Lake, and now I’m finishing up the first sequel, Communion. It’s a creepy mix between The Howling and Rosemary’s Baby. Can’t wait to introduce it to the world. Should be out by October!!
