Happy Friday, guys! Reading the books of today’s featured author may give you some food cravings – and that’s okay, because recipes are included. Welcome, Justin D. Lambe.
In a small Virginia town of Pine Hills, the owner of the local bakery, Sweet Treats is in for a surprise. Through a path of twists and turns of previous marriages, custody battles, and a hidden life insurance policy. A murder investigation is unfolded that leaves everyone stunned…
Favorite Halloween candy?
I’m not a big candy eater, but I love Tootsie rolls and smarties.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a Telephone Operator. Actually, I’m living that dream now and working as one in a state facility in Virginia.
If you could go back in time, where would you go and what would you do?
Let me see… If I had the opportunity, I’d go back to the time when the first type writer was invented. I’d like to set down with writer’s that wrote children’s books like Charlotte’s Web, and other kids book classics. To hear their stories of how they first became a writer. Their struggles, and their inspirations behind their stories.
What are you working on now?
I just finished a Christmas Novel and sent it to my publisher. The title is Small Town Hope. It will be out sometime the first of December right in time for Christmas. Looking for a great gift for someone? I’d recommend it. Who doesn’t love a good Christmas story?
When you finish a book, do you take time off or jump into another project?
It usually depends. Sometimes I take a short break, and other times I don’t. Normally when one book is finished, I begin plotting and outlining another. When I have that complete, the writing begins. I’ve got a big imagination, and these stories play around in my head. If I waited around and didn’t let them out, they’d go crazy! (Laughing)
Do you have a favorite character you’ve created?
Yes, a character comes to mind from my novel, Death In Sparkling Cove. Mr. Lawson. He owns the Sparkling Cove Inn. He’s got a kind heart and spreads love and hospitality to everyone he meets. He treats his guest like their family. He’s an elderly man with a big heart!
