I have to warn you – the TBR pile took a staggering hit last week because of a certain Story Empire Roadshow featuring several friends. Awesome books at low prices or even free – how could I resist? Thanks guys – you know who you are and the blame is on you!
I finished Panacea by F. Paul Wilson. I’m a huge fan of his Repairman Jack series – and if you’re not familiar with those books (kind of a thriller/suspense/paranormal mix), then you’re missing out on an incredible story with one of the most magnetic and intriguing characters I’ve read. Panacea didn’t grab me right away, but I stuck with it and was rewarded with the introduction of a character who reminded me a lot of Jack – and then I was hooked. If you’re a fan of medical thrillers with a touch of paranormal, look into this one. The second in the series is due out later this year.

I may be a little naive, but I’m beginning to think I’ll never reach the bottom of the pile. Has anyone else gotten that impression?
LOL! I know that feeling about never reaching the bottom of the pile. I feel the same way, but still can’t stop buying more books. I’m glad you had fun with the SE Roadshow gang, and–wow!–super excited to see Eclipse Lake on you read list! 🙂

I need to just delete all those book deal emails I get every day – don’t even open them. But I’m not even sure that would help. The local book festival is in a couple of weeks and I already know of two more I’m buying there. Losing battle – but it sure is fun!

I had to unsubscribe from a few of those book emails too. I was doing like you were and just deleting them. I think I’m down to two I’m still hanging onto.
Enjoy the festival! Ours isn’t until August, but I need to read what I got last year 🙂

I love Mae’s cover – reminds me of a place I used to live. Hugs, Teagan!

Ugh… You! Panacea sounds great and now it’s on my list. If my TBR pile topples, it *will* bury me. I don’t think I’ll live long enough to read all the books I have.

I’m in that boat too – I thought you looked familiar, Sarah.

I saw the title of your post, Teri, and thought to myself, “Okay, how many did she add this time?” Ha ha. Isn’t it wonderful, though? I love great characters and your description of Panacea sounds great. Oh no…there goes my TBR pile. 😀 Happy Reading.

I should probably change the title to Upsizing the TBR pile – more appropriate, don’t you think, Diana?

I get the same way. There are so many that I intend to read, both old and new, and the list is forever growing. Then there are the titles I want to re-read…

I figure those re-reads aren’t in the cards for me – although there are some I’d love to go back to.

If we ever reach the end of the TBR pile – something is definitely wrong, Teri. 😀
Happy reading.

As I have often said, “I will never outlive my TBR pile.” You on the other hand have plenty of time.

You might be overly optimistic on that one, John – especially if I keep buying more. Which, or course I will.

So true. Glad you enjoyed the bookmobile tour though. We promise not to do it again for a few months, ha ha ha.

I might need more time to get through all the new ones from last week – will let you know a date that works for me – ha. It was a great tour, Craig!
