Today we welcome Bad Moon Rising alumnus, Armand Rosamilia and his book, Dying Days 6! I’ve always had a special place in my heart for zombies.
Continuing the Dying Days zombie series!
Darlene Bobich, the Zombie Killer, is on a mission to save her family. Can she succeed, even as more obstacles are thrown in her way: survivors bent on their own selfish needs, evolving zombies and the rotting world around her?
Dying Days are truly upon us…
What’s the first story you ever wrote?
Wow. That was when I was about twelve, so about thirty-five years ago. I can tell you the first published story I ever wrote. It was called “Beastie” and I was eighteen when it was published. I included it in my Skulls And Bones collection. The original version, which makes me cringe when I read it. But on the flip side I’m damn proud of it, too.
Which fictional character would you most like to meet and have a drink with?
I’d love to have a strong mead with Conan the barbarian as long as he knew I was on his side. I’d also hope Red Sonja was there and she was flirting with me. Yes, I’m still that twelve year old at times.
In the spirit of Halloween, what scares you?
You not loving me. Oh, and dogs. I am very afraid of dogs and I don’t know why. I don’t think I’ve ever been attacked or bitten.
Favorite hero and villain in a book/movie?
Tough question. Alex Cross might be my favorite hero to read book after book. I’m a big fan of villains and Darth Vader always impressed me.
What do you consider the hardest part of writing?
Sitting down in the damn chair every day. I try to remember the simple truths to get me to write each day: If I don’t write I don’t pay my bills. If I don’t pay my bills I need to go back into retail management to get the bills paid, which I swear I will never do again. The hardest part is starting again each day. Fear and money are great motivators.
What are you working on now?
I’m always working on several projects at once. Just finished Green River Blend 2 and Dying Days 7. Working on Dirty Deeds 3 and a couple of other things I probably can’t mention just yet. I keep busy. Who wants to work a ‘normal’ job ever again?
