Downsizing the TBR Pile

I haven’t gotten as much reading done over the past week as I’d like, but with my son at percussion camp this week, I’m hoping to make up for that – and also add a hefty word count to my WIP.  Think good thoughts.

I’ve read Charlaine Harris’s True Blood series and the Harper Connelly Mysteries, 18107951finding both of them compelling and entertaining.  But this new Novel of Midnight, Texas series is more of a slow burn for me – very slow.  I’m almost finished with Midnight Crossroad, but would have given it up after the first 50 pages if another blogger hadn’t persuaded me to stick with it.  I like the eccentric, quirky characters the author creates and the small town atmosphere, but I’m not sure if I’ll continue with the series.
