This was one busy week. I almost met my goal with the YA Buccaneers Boot Camp – in my defense, we hosted a Derby party, one son had prom, and the other came home from college – so no writing this weekend. To compensate, I’m doubling my word count goal for this week. I’m currently reading The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin for review and it’s a creative way to end the trilogy – but geez, it’s a chunk of a read.
I did finished Stillwell by Michael Phillip Cash last week. This was an interesting, fast-paced read. I immediately liked Paul, the MC. Recently widowed after losing his childhood sweetheart and love of his life, he’s now a single parent struggling to put his life back together. Then all sorts of supernatural occurrences start creeping in and the fun begins – for me, anyway. There are no surprises in the direction the story takes, but it kept me glued to my Kindle all the same.

It was! A little predictable, but still engrossing.
