I’ve loved this series from the first book and am sorry to see it end. The books have offered action, suspense, twists, turns, thrills, double-crosses and have been captivating reads.
Zach (finally, his real name) is on the run again with Howard (such a fun, likable character), and a new character, Tanya. As usual, Zach isn’t sure who he can trust, but in the end, his questions about his father are answered.
Being a long time fan of this series, I was hoping for a more satisfying ending. It was very sudden and I even wondered if I was missing some pages. Many things were still unresolved and it didn’t feel like a natural stopping point. Maybe if the author had added an epilogue, it would have helped.
Despite my disappointment with the final installment, this series remains at the top of my list of YA recommendations for thriller/suspense books. I’m hoping the author decides to write a novella to wrap up the story more completely. I Am the Traitor is scheduled for publication June 9, 2015.
