Well, this week was pretty much a bust for writing – got a little done, but not even close to half of my goal. For whatever reason, I’m only sleeping around four hours per night and I could easily be cast as a zombie for The Walking Dead – they wouldn’t even need makeup for me. Between that and carting my son around to activities every day – not much got done. On the other hand, I finished a fantastic book, Torn, by Kate Sparkes. Hoping to get the review posted tomorrow.
My math for today doesn’t correlate with the date at all – apparently, due to my zombie-like existence, I thought today was March 31 and I took a few lines from chapter 3. So there’s that. This snippet has Cain going into the attic after hearing some noises.
The hair on the back of my neck was soaked with sweat and the room felt like a sauna. While I was up here, I might as well look around. Eby might have come up and I didn’t want to lock him in. A loud crunch sound echoed in the room and every hair on my head seemed to stand on end, while my stomach rolled. Looking down, I saw a Styrofoam peanut that must have fallen out of one of the moving boxes. I hadn’t realized I’d been holding my breath until my oxygen-starved lungs took in some much-needed air.
